InstantAppraisal is a free property report tool operated by Mark & Co, a real estate team at Ray White Austar Realty Limited (Licensed REAA 2008), West Auckland. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We handle your information under the Privacy Act 2020.

Who we are

InstantAppraisal.co.nz is run by Mark & Co at Ray White Austar Realty Limited. When this policy says "we" or "us", it means that team. If you have any question about your information, the contact details are at the bottom of this page.

What we collect

• The address you search for, so we can build a report for that property.
• Property details from public sources for that address, such as land area, floor area, dwelling type and council valuation, plus recent confirmed sales nearby.
• When you ask us to unlock your full report: your name, email and phone number, and the answers you give us about your timeframe and your relationship to the property.
• Basic technical information needed to run the service safely, such as a one-way hashed version of your IP address used only to limit abuse. We do not store your raw IP address against your report.

How we use it

• To build your property report and email it to you.
• To answer your request and, if you asked for a report, to follow up once about it. You can tell us to stop at any time.
• To keep the service working and protect it from misuse.

Your report is an indicative range built from public records and recent comparable sales. It is not a registered valuation or a market appraisal under the Real Estate Agents Act 2008.

Who sees your information

Your details are seen by the Mark & Co team at Ray White Austar. We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the tool on our behalf, including our database and hosting provider and our email delivery provider, and mapping services to look up the address you enter. They act on our instructions and only for the purposes above.

We do not sell your information to anyone.

Where it is stored

Your information is held securely with our providers. Our database is hosted in Australia, so your information may be stored and processed outside New Zealand. We take reasonable steps to keep it protected wherever it is held.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as we need it to help you and to meet our legal and professional obligations. You can ask us to delete your details and we will, unless we are required to keep them.

Your choices and rights

• You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time.
• Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the information we hold about you and ask us to correct it.
• You can ask us to delete your details.
